The 412.2 heavy-duty cross cut shredder is capable of shredding crumpled paper. It can handle up to 35 sheets of paper at a time through a 16-inch wide throat. A steel cutting head is also capable of shredding CDs. Thermal motor protection allows longer periods of use and enclosed toothed gearing prevents wear, extending the shredder life. A sensor automatically detects paper and turns the shredder on and off accordingly. The 412.2 also has sensors that indicate when the bag is full, the door is open or when a paper jam occurs.
